Meeting Agendas
All approved Senate Agendas from the 2000-2001 Academic Year onward are posted within the annual tabs here on the Senate Website. All approved Agendas, including those from years prior to 2000, are available through the Acadia University Archives.
To search for particular topics within the Senate Agendas starting in the 2000-2001 Academic Year, use one of the following two methods:
Option 1: Within your search engine, use the "site:senate.acadiau.ca TOPIC" command. For example, if you want to find information related to NSERC USRAs, you could use the command site:senate.acadiau.ca USRA in the search engine or browser search bar.
Option 2: Visit the Acadia University Archives at the link above, and use the Search Within Collection tool.
In each case, once you find an Agenda file of interest, use Ctrl-F or the other internal search functionality within the file software itself to find the portions of that Agenda file that contain the information of interest.
Archives Statement for Senate
Senate and Senate Committee records (minutes, agendas, correspondence, reports, and supporting papers) are deposited in the Archives for permanent preservation. The Secretary or Chair of each Senate Committee is responsible for depositing committee records in the Archives. The Recording Secretary shall do the same for Senate and for Senate Executive. (Senate Constitution, Article VI Number 10). Records will be handled in accordance with the University Records Policy. Senate minutes and agendas are open to researchers immediately after processing by the Archives. All other records will be closed for a period of 50 years; these records may be accessed only by Senate Committee members for University business. Other University personnel may be given permission to access and/or duplicate records for University business with written permission from the Chair of Senate. Additional restrictions may be applied by an Archivist during processing because of the presence of personal information, confidential business and financial information, confidential employment, personnel, or student information, or for compliance with provincial privacy legislation.
