Senate Agenda/14Oct03
(034-13-ART)
From Gary Ness
Chairperson
Teaching Complement Committee
It would appear that the following motion - which will replace the previous
Notice of Motion as recorded in the September 2003 minutes of Senate, will
serve our purpose:
That Senate immediately conducts a hearing in the matter of the appeal
of the Department of Languages and Literatures under Article 20.00 of the
Tenth Collective Agreement and that Senate uses a format for the hearing
that is analogous to the process for the appeal hearing conducted by the
Teaching Complement Committee, which is found in Article 20.04 and 20.05
of the 10th Collective Agreement.
The intent is that the first part of the motion ensures Senate will
act to hear the matter immediately and the latter part of the motion should
ensure that the process used is consistent with the Collective Agreement's
guidance to the Teaching Complement Committee.
